Metro?

i would like to believe that all the delays due to construction on the metro are going to be resolved by opening day....

it wasn't too long ago that i was late for a basketball game at the verizon center due to this issue. i, along with about 20 other people in a variety of georgetown hoya parafanalia, was stuck waiting at the dupont metro waiting for the train to come. the computers on the platform were also broken so we could not read any of the delay messages. we stood there on the platform, with the floor lights blinking, peering down an empty tunnel until we realized this was hopeless and scrambled back up to the street and began desperately trying to hail cabs. with 5 minutes till tip off we hailed down a cab outside of a nearby hotel. after waiting patiently in typical dc traffic we finally made it to the verizon venter about half way through the first quarter. not tragic, but certainly not something i would want to do again.
